The GDF and Strogg are two distinct armies with different strategies and tactics. Players are specifically rewarded for working as a team to accomplish mission objectives.

Individual Role Play

Using class-specific capabilities, players can be the linchpin of an entire operation, building a necessary bridge or infiltrating enemy defenses to enable a decisive missile strike.

Level Playing Field

While players earn promotions and stats every time they play, unlocked capabilities are specific to the campaign. Every player starts the campaign at the same level.

Magatexture Technology

The revolutionary Megatexture technology allows battlefields to extend to thehorizon, with over a square mile of unique terrain at unprecedented detail.

Unhappy RTCW player ( from TN
More spam from splashdamage
If you liked the game play of RTCW and ET then ETQW won't be your new replacement. Be prepared to be sniped and never hear where the shot came from. Get ready for hard to fly and drive vehicles that never run out of ammo and are usually placed between between you and the obj and your little machine gun can't damage them to speak of. Get ready for Strogg revives that take 5 seconds while you stand there completely vulnerable to fire. Sound effects are horrible and you do run faster with your knife out LOL. Your muzzle does rise as you shoot and this has been turned into a CS/BF type of abomination where your aim doesn't matter as much in this FPS multiplayer. If however you do like jumping around while you shoot with a fair amount of accuracy then this game is for you. You also can't sprint while dropping health and you can't sprint while trying to duel. There are many more things wrong with this game IMHO and that's the way the splashdamage developer intended them to be since I questioned him at Qcon. iD had better get their heads back on correctly and return to the game play that got them where they are.
