from Utah Great gameplay, horrible bugs
I've been playing the collector's edition of this game since it released. First off, the gameplay is great. If you like Diablo, this game was made by the same people and is a 3D version of Diablo. The graphics at full are great looking, and the magical effects look great as well. Unfortunately, the game is marred by bugs. These will no doubt be fixed in time, but as of the time of this review, the game is still very much in a beta-state. I crash constantly or lock up, players go invisible to each other, and things just don't work.
The game also has a $10 a month subscriber option, which is fine if you want to go that route, but right now that means the servers are always coming up and down while they apply the patches. Game didn't work at all in Vista for me, but I think I'm alone with that problem.
There is a demo out for this game as well. I strongly suggest not trying it. The demo was horrible when compared to the actual game. I strongly suggest people wait about 6 months and then try it out. And buy the regular version, but spend the extra on a month of subscription. The collector's version isn't really worth it unless you _must have_ the behind-the-scenes DVD.
