Overview
This brand new business simulation starts in America at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. Trade and economy range from the rise of industrial revolution to the age of information technologies.

The player, as in IndustryGiant, again takes over the role of an super-entrepreneur, trying to establish a global organization by managing the buying of resources, processing products, logistics and sales.

From lumberjack to industry mogul, your task is not easy, as you alone are responsible for extracting and processing raw materials, selecting a site, building transportation networks, and overseeing sales and advertising.

But don't worry, as the innovative pop-up menu system, an interactive tutorial, and the easy-to-understand rules of play all make it extremely easy for you to get started.

Take command of an entire fleet of vehicles. Lorries, steam engines, diesel and electric trains, ships and planes. You decide which vehicles best suit your needs.

Don't forget to maintain your vehicles properly and modernise your fleet from time to time. You start the game in possession of a substantial amount of products.

As the game progresses, new products are added each year. You therefore learn the fun way about when products like nylon were first manufactured on a large scale.

You can manufacture over 150 different products. It's entirely up to you whether you use your money to produce toys, food, sports equipment, cars, electronic goods - or make another choice from the wide range available.

Choose the locations of your retail outlets wisely to ensure that the money comes rolling in. But don't forget your image. You could soon go to the wall if you stick a steelworks right on a city's doorstep.

However, if there is no alternative location, you can always try sponsorship as a means of appeasing the locals.

Be careful not to underpay or overpay your employees. Underpaid workers will go to the barricades and strike. Finally, after all your successful endeavours, you can afford your own luxury residence.

Find the perfect spot and the most beautiful palace and bask in the envious looks of your virtual neighbours. A bit of luxury won't hurt!

The add-on to Industry Giant II covers the time period from 1980 to 2020. Industry Giant II fans can look forward to products like cell phones and computers, the more nostalgic among the players get additional products like jewellery industry and coffeehouses available from 1900 on.

Many new means of transportation will challenge the player like high-speed trains and helicopters with dedicated heliports. These combine the advantages of trucks and planes.

Features
For the first time, the player has the option to interact with his or her opponent, play as a team or play against each other.

The player faces a significantly wider range of resources and final products, including resources which depend on weather. Seasonal demand for products require the player to carefully plan storage for finished goods.

The exchange of goods can only be managed via storage. The information on how much is available can be retrieved by the player at all times. This provides better control over the product cycle.

These product cycles can be interrupted, meaning that wheat can be grown and sold without further processes. This makes it easier for beginners.

Over 50 means of transportation, from simple coaches to trucks and steam-engines, to locomotives, and of course a wide range of ships.

Differing climates bring changes to the game-play and add to the complexity of strategic planning. Detailed buildings and vehicles with transparent smoke. Multiplayer capability over LAN or the Internet.
